2010

Vikings Global Capital was founded in 2010 by Christopher Gordon, who is the President and Chief Investment Officer of the firm. Since its foundation, the firm has maintained a focus on a highly diversified multi-strategy approach. Vikings Capital manages money primarily for high net-worth individuals, family offices, corporations and charitable foundations.

2014

The firm invested in companies with exposure to Asia in 2014 and has also invested in American based multinational corporations.

2018

In 2018,Vikings Capital launched a Corporate credit Strategy.

Vikings Global Capital Corporate Credit Strategy offerings include:

Value strategy which consists primarily of US high yield bonds
European Value strategy which consists primarily of European high yield bonds and loans
Credit Opportunities strategy which is flexible across bonds and loans in the US and Europe and
Loans strategy which focuses primarily on US loans

2020

In 2020 Vikings Global Capital launched an Emerging Markets Strategy.

Vikings Global Capital Emerging Markets strategy is focused on global emerging market debt, investing across sovereign, quasi-sovereign and corporates. The strategy targets outperformance relative to the emerging market benchmark across market cycles

Our Founder

Christopher Gordon is a Founding Partner at Vikings Global Capital and is a member of Vikings Global Capital Executive Committee. Before forming Vikings Global Capital, Mr.Gordon was a Managing Director in the High Yield Group at JP Morgan World Markets, where he headed the Healthcare Research. Prior to this he was a Research analyst with Citi Group in their high yield investment banking division. Mr.Gordon is a member of the board of various not-for-profit entities.

Mr Gordon is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and received an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
